Ahmad Helmi Abu Kassim, a Diploma Student of UniKL MIAT had represented Malaysia in the 27th International Symposium on Space and Science (ISTS) 2009 held at Tsukuba City, Japan on 5th to 11th July 2009. National Space Agency Malaysia (ANGKASA) and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) had selected Ahmad Helmi to present an experiment entitled “Analysis of Sound Wave at Zero Gravity Condition” at the symposium. His presentation had gained rapturous reception and was offered by European Space Agency (ESA) to advance the experiment using ESA’s facilities. More news ...
 
 
Nurhana Mohammed Tamin, a final year student in Data Communication UniKL British Malaysian Institute (UniKL BMI) has made UniKL proud for being the only participant representing Malaysia in the 2009 World Competition on Microsoft Office (MMOC 2009) Toronto, Canada. Nurhana was selected to participate in the competition after scoring full marks during the National MMOC 2009 held on 8th to 10th July, 2009. This international competition has attracted participants worldwide including Japan, Argentina and Mexico. Nurhana competed with 40 other participants for the grand prize of RM 17,000 scholarship. UniKL MIIT forestry expert Professor Dr. Roslan Ismail was recognised by the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change for his involvement in a comprehensive assessment of climate change research 17 years ago. He was one of the forest sector analysts involved in the Tropical Forest Research Network (F-7), which headed a study on carbon dioxide emissions in Malaysia and collaborated with top forestry researchers from United States, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Thailand and Mexico. He also presented his paper F-7 meeting held in Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Bangkok, Mexico City, Bogor, Geneva and Manila, and co-chaired a workshop held at University of California, Berkeley.   • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Syed Nur Azman won warded with an ITEX Silver Medal
    In the recent 18th International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX 07) held from May 18 – 20, 2007 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Syed Nur Azman (Dean, UniKL Malaysian Institute of Chemical and Bioengineering Technology - UniKL MICET) was awarded with an ITEX Silver Medal for his project DeHg The Mercury Vapour Remover. Another representative from UniKL MICET, Azril bin Maheran was also recognised with an ITEX Bronze Medal for his project ACADEMIX The Academic Records and Admission System.
