- Glory for UniKL MSI at ITEX 2010
- SM-UniKL Outreach Programme : UniKL MSI won 2nd places in Entrepreneurship Competition
SSM-UniKL Outreach Programme was filled with activities aimed to expose and promote the functions of SSM and its Outreach Programme to the public and students who are keen to venture in the business world and potential entrepreneurs.Among other activities held at UniKL City Campus in conjunction with this programme are, exhibition booths at the lobby, consultation sessions with related agencies such as Bank Negara, SME Corporation and Ministry of Finance, series of talks on entrepreneurship, catur bestari competition and sketch competition. For that matter UniKL MSI won the 2nd place for 'Entrepreneurship Competition'. These national competition participated by IPTA and IPTS students all over Malaysia.

- Student Represented Malaysia in the 27th ISTS
Ahmad Helmi Abu Kassim, a Diploma Student of UniKL MIAT had represented Malaysia in the 27th International Symposium on Space and Science (ISTS) 2009 held at Tsukuba City, Japan on 5th to 11th July 2009. National Space Agency Malaysia (ANGKASA) and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) had selected Ahmad Helmi to present an experiment entitled 'Analysis of Sound Wave at Zero Gravity Condition' at the symposium. His presentation had gained rapturous reception and was offered by European Space Agency (ESA) to advance the experiment using ESA’s facilities.

- MIIT-UniKL Team Represents Malaysia in Capture the Flag 2009 Competition
On 7th and 8th of October 2009, MIIT UniKL has sent their students from the BIT (Hons) in Computer System Security and BET (Hons) in Networking Systems to the prestigious Capture the Flag – Weapons of Mass Destructions competition organised by the Hack in the Box (M) Sdn Bhd during the annual HitB Security Conference 2009 here in Kuala Lumpur at Crown Plaza Mutiara, Jalan Sultan Ismail. The team-based hacking competition is an International competition with entrees from USA, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore and not forgetting UniKL’s team that would represent Malaysia.

The first approved Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO) by the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCA) on January 24, 2008.
- Asia Pasific Aviation Workforce Development of the year
Receives the Asia Pasific Aviation Workforce Development of the year from Frost & Sullivan on March 14, 2008 in Singapore.
- EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License training program
UniKL MIAT is qualified to offer EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License training program. EASA Part – 147 Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO) with Aero-Bildung GmbH of Germany.
- Showcase Rekacipta & Inovasi MARA won for Best Booth (25-27 Mac 2008)

UniKL MICET begged 1 gold medal for Engineering and Technology Category.
- Kyoto Institute of Technology has acknowledged Prof. Dr. Azanam Shah Hashim for his interesting research on rubber (polymer).
- Four Deep Sea
Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology is proud to launch four deep sea vessels on November 4, 2008.
- Designed a certificate programme to train 40 young Thais to become Assistant Nurses in its campus, on August 30, 2008.

Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (MIIT) is awarded with Institusi Pendidikan MARA (IPMA) Terbaik 2008, June 3 2008.
- Nobel Peace Prize
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roslan Ismail, Dean, Malaysia Institute of Information Technology receives award certificate for the Nobel Peace Prize, which was bestowed during Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change on December 10, 2007 in Oslo, Norway.
